The KC-400 tanker is a modified tanker aircraft. It is a member of the C400 series (C400, HC400, MC400). It is piloted by the flight simulator’s AI and can be spawned by clicking “Request Refuel.”
Only a few aircraft can refuel from it: C400, HC400, MC400, MC130, C130, HC130, E42, and PV40. It was introduced in update 1.24. The tanker can be destroyed, as demonstrated by many players. The interior is the same as that of the C400.
Once spawned, the KC-400 usually appears near the player at an altitude of approximately 7,500 feet and an airspeed of 203 knots. It uses the probe-and-drogue refueling system. The tanker cannot be forcefully landed on water, as the high speed will cause both aircraft to disintegrate upon impact. Similar to other AI-piloted aircraft, the tanker can freely fly through the restricted airspace above the Archipelago (visible on the map as an area that has not been purchased).
