TFS Sky Presets: More realism than you think
by Infinity Aviation

Did you know that TFS sky presets don’t just change how the sky looks during your Turboprop FS flights?
Actually, each preset comes with its own unique limitations and settings. Let me explain.
Each preset must have options for fog density, wind strength, and wind direction customization, right?
Well... not exactly.
The famous default Dawn preset allows setting the fog density only up to half of the maximum value, and lightning frequency isn’t available at all.
The Morning preset has the same fog density limit, but unlike Dawn, lightning frequency can be set to any value.
Noon is similar to Dawn - half fog density and no lightning.
Same goes for the popular Afternoon preset.
Clear Day also shares these same limits.
Now, Before Rain is where things start to get interesting.
Here, you’re completely free to set any fog density and any lightning frequency. However, from this point onward, when adjusting the lightning frequency, you’ll get a warning saying “Flashes may cause seizures to people with epilepsy.”
So if you’re reading this and haven’t tried lightning effects in Turboprop FS before - use them carefully and at your own risk.
Moving on to Blue Evening - the limits return. You can set any lightning frequency again, but the fog density is restricted to half of the maximum.
Overcast works like Before Rain - no limits for fog or lightning settings.
Sunset gives you full control again. Even though it looks similar to the Morning preset, you can set the fog density to the maximum this time.
No limits for Sundown either.
And obviously, same for the Night.
So, Turboprop Flight Simulator is really interesting when it comes to realism. It's great to see such tiny details that make the game more logical.
